Foods and fluids for sports

Before sports: FUEL UP!

  • drink water
  • eat cereal, whole wheat toast, yogurt, brown rice, fruits and veggies
  • avoid saturated fats

During sports: PIT STOP!

  • keep your body hydrated with small, frequent sips of water
  • eat energy bars or bananas for strength

After sports: REFUEL!

  • drink water
  • eat food with protein and carbs
