Week 7 Reflection

Literacy|Reading

This week for reading, we started reading 'Kensuke's Kingdom' by Michael Morpurgo.
After reading each chapter, we had to do an activity. One of them was to create your own book cover for the book. To see my original blog post for the book cover, click HERE. To see it now, look right beneath this.

Literacy|Writing

For writing this week, we wrote a Haiku poem. Haiku poems are quite easy, but the main points are: the first line has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables and the third has five syllables.
Now for this poem we needed to brainstorm, and Miss Panther showed us bubbl.us.
It is a website where you make what are called mind maps. Here is one of mine!

Then we had to write a Haiku, of course. Here are my ones!

Frogs
Frogs swim through water
Frogs smell a lot like madness
Frogs eating people

Nature
Nature is a frog
Nature is cute birds chirping
Nature is your heart

Cellphone
Phones can contact friends
Phones can contact family

Cell Phones can do lots.

Topic

For topic this week, Mackenzie and I have done a lot of work on our presentation. Here is what it looks like!

  1. Hi Kyle and MacKenzie,
That was an awesome presentation. I've always found it a bit crazy to think that a NZer split the atom. It just goes to show, NZer's can do anything!

    1. Hey Patrick.
The only reason I put a bomb in the cover is because I thought something would blow up, since most books have that. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
